Prairie Creek Campground

Perched on the serene banks of Woodruff Lake along the Alabama River, Prairie Creek Park Campground offers a tranquil retreat complemented by rich natural beauty and diverse recreational opportunities. With spacious campsites outfitted with water and electrical hookups, shaded by moss-draped oaks, this campground stands out as a haven for RVs, trailers, and tent campers alike. This year-round campground features 62 campsites, including 7 designated for tent camping, all equipped with essentials like picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. Modern amenities such as hot showers, laundry facilities, a playground, and a boat ramp ensure a comfortable and family-friendly stay. Nearby, the Alabama River and Woodruff Lake provide excellent fishing for bass, crappie, and catfish, as well as opportunities for kayaking, boating, and jet skiing. The Lowndes Wildlife Management Area, only a short drive away, opens up 12,500 acres for hunting and wildlife observation.
