About Reelfoot Lake State Park RV South Campground
Reelfoot Lake State Park's South Campground offers a unique lakeside camping experience where ancient cypress trees emerge from the water's edge. This scenic RV destination combines excellent fishing opportunities, stunning sunset views, and well-maintained facilities in a serene natural setting.
The campground features 86 paved sites with water and electric hookups, accommodating both RVs and tents. Clean bathhouses with hot showers and a convenient dump station enhance the camping experience. Many sites offer direct lake access, perfect for fishing or launching kayaks to explore the cypress-studded waters.
Located near Tiptonville in northwest Tennessee, the campground sits on the shores of Reelfoot Lake, a 15,000-acre natural wonder created by earthquakes in the early 19th century. The surrounding area is renowned for its diverse wildlife, particularly its large population of bald eagles and waterfowl. Visitors can enjoy guided pontoon tours, canoe trips through the cypress forests, and excellent crappie and bluegill fishing right from their campsites.
