Rock Ridge Campground

Rock Ridge Campground offers a rustic camping experience in the rural countryside of eastern North Carolina. This family-owned campground provides a peaceful retreat with its scenic fishing pond, refreshing swimming pool, and resident ostrich that adds a unique touch to the pastoral setting.

Situated on over 100 acres of gently rolling farmland, Rock Ridge Campground features spacious RV sites with full hookups as well as primitive tent camping areas nestled among mature shade trees. The campground's centerpiece is a tranquil fishing pond complete with a wooden pier, providing opportunities for catch-and-release angling or simply relaxing by the water. Active campers can enjoy the campground's swimming pool, basketball court, and children's playground.

Located just outside the small town of Sims, Rock Ridge Campground serves as an ideal base for exploring eastern North Carolina's rural charm. The campground sits approximately 15 miles east of Wilson, known for its whimsical Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park featuring giant kinetic sculptures. Nature enthusiasts can take a short drive to Cliffs of the Neuse State Park to hike along riverside trails and admire unique geological formations.
