Adjacent to the Samoa Dunes Recreation Area, it also provides a haven for ATV riders and beachcombers on expansive sand dunes.

Located five miles south of Eureka via Highway 255, the campground enjoys a prime spot near miles of uncrowded beaches, the historic Samoa Cookhouse, and the Humboldt Bay Maritime Museum.
