Sand Flats Recreation Area

The Sand Flats Recreation Area campground near Moab, Utah, defies the notion of traditional desert camping by offering a combination of breathtaking red rock landscapes, proximity to world-class outdoor adventures, and diverse campsite options. The loops vary in character—with some providing dramatic mountain vistas and others nestled closer to iconic trails like the Slickrock Bike Trail and Fins and Things 4x4 trail. Group sites are also available by reservation for larger gatherings.
