Shades State Park

Shades State Park Campground, situated just 17 miles southwest of Crawfordsville, Indiana, immerses campers in the serene beauty of sandstone cliffs, shaded ravines, and dense woodlands. Featuring 105 drive-in campsites, 7 hike-in sites, and 10 canoe-in sites, the campground accommodates tents, RVs, and trailers up to 55 feet in length. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, backed by facilities such as drinking water, restrooms, hot showers, and a dump station. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the easy access to over ten miles of hiking trails, highlighting iconic features like Devil's Punchbowl, Silver Cascade Falls, and Pine Hills Nature Preserve.
