The Shoup Bridge Campground, located just five miles south of Salmon, Idaho, offers a serene escape along the banks of the Salmon River, immersing visitors in the sights and sounds of flowing water and rustling cottonwood trees. With riverfront campsites, easy highway access, and abundant shade, this campground serves as an ideal base for both relaxation and exploration.

This Bureau of Land Management site features eight first-come, first-served campsites, accommodating RVs and tents. Amenities include potable water, picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets, ensuring essential comforts without detracting from the natural setting. The campground also includes thoughtful features like a boat ramp for fishing and rafting enthusiasts, scenic riverfront benches, and a bicycle repair station. Note that there are no utility hookups, and visitors should practice bear safety due to the area's wildlife.

Within 30 minutes, campers can enjoy the town of Salmon via a scenic five-mile, non-motorized bike path directly from the campground or explore recreational activities such as fishing, tubing, and hiking in the surrounding landscape. The Salmon River's crystal waters are perfect for rafting, while nearby trails and seasonal wildlife make it a haven for nature lovers.
