About Silver Falls State Park
What if a single destination combined Oregon’s largest state park, a lush temperate rainforest, and a chance to walk behind cascading waterfalls? Silver Falls State Park Campground offers this rare trifecta, alongside a variety of well-maintained camping options for both adventurers and leisure seekers alike.
Located less than an hour from Salem, the campground features 48 RV sites with water and electric hookups, 43 tent sites, and 14 rustic cabins—several of which are pet-friendly. Amenities such as hot showers, flush toilets, fire pits, and picnic tables ensure a comfortable stay, while wheelchair-accessible facilities make it welcoming for everyone. For groups, the park's spacious group camping areas and horse camp add extra flexibility. Many campsites are shaded by towering evergreens, enhancing privacy and tranquility.
The campground’s prime location is ideal for exploring the renowned Trail of Ten Falls, a 7.2-mile loop showcasing ten stunning waterfalls, including the iconic 177-foot South Falls. The park also provides over 25 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as day-use areas with playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a unique Nature Play Area. Whether for a weekend getaway or extended nature retreat, Silver Falls State Park Campground is undeniably a pinnacle of Pacific Northwest outdoor experiences.
