The campground features 25 rustic campsites suitable for tents and small trailers, with basic amenities including modern restrooms, potable water stations, and a sanitary dump station. While there are no electric or water hookups, the park’s lush wooded setting provides a truly immersive experience. Six rustic cabins—built by the Civilian Conservation Corps—are also available for rent, complete with essential facilities like gas stoves, refrigerators, and private restrooms with showers. Recreational opportunities abound, with hiking trails, fishing streams, and ample hunting grounds within the park’s borders. In winter, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on designated trails.

Simon B. Elliott State Park is situated near the town of Penfield and serves as a gateway to the expansive Moshannon State Forest.
