While the campground lacks potable water, campers can access drinking water at nearby Kroeger Campground.

Located just 17 miles from Durango, Snowslide Campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the San Juan National Forest. The area boasts excellent hiking opportunities, including access to the Colorado Trail and the challenging Highline Loop National Recreational Trail.
