About Sockeye Campground
Set along the serene shores of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth National Forest, Sockeye Campground stands out with its secluded campsites, majestic lodgepole pine canopy, and panoramic views of the towering Sawtooth Mountains. This idyllic destination offers an exceptional balance of tranquility, natural beauty, and accessibility to the region’s vibrant outdoor activities.
The campground features 23 first-come, first-served sites, including six double-sites, each equipped with essential amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, and access to drinking water and vault toilets. Its prime lakeside location is perfect for swimming, sailing, kayaking, and fishing, with a boat launch conveniently located at nearby Sandy Beach. For those drawn to exploration, the area boasts numerous hiking and biking trails, including a section of the Idaho Centennial Trail, as well as equestrian stables and interpretive programs at the visitor center.
Situated just seven miles southwest of Stanley, Idaho, Sockeye Campground is a gateway to the outdoor adventures of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Within a short drive, visitors can enjoy Redfish Lake Lodge’s dining, watercraft rentals, and live entertainment.
