Campground Overview
About South Eden Campground
South Eden Campground offers a lakeside retreat where the turquoise waters of Bear Lake meet the rugged beauty of Utah's mountains. This scenic campground balances pristine natural surroundings with convenient amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the diverse recreational opportunities of Bear Lake State Park.
Situated on the eastern shore of Bear Lake, South Eden Campground provides campers with direct access to the lake's Caribbean-like waters and rocky beaches. The campground features 20 individual sites with power and water hookups, accommodating both RVs and tents. Two group sites are also available for larger gatherings. While the facilities are basic, including vault toilets and no showers, the trade-off is a more secluded and nature-immersive camping experience.
Located about 8 miles north of Laketown, Utah, South Eden Campground serves as a gateway to Bear Lake's aquatic playground. Visitors can enjoy a range of water activities including paddleboarding, boating, and fishing for native Bonneville cisco. The surrounding area offers opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing, with the chance to spot local fauna in their natural habitat. For those seeking a tranquil escape or an adventure-filled getaway, South Eden Campground provides a picturesque setting that captures the essence of Bear Lake's unique charm.
