About Tahkenitch Landing Campground
Does the perfect blend of forested seclusion and lakeside recreation sound like your ideal camping spot? Located on the shores of Tahkenitch Lake in Siuslaw National Forest, Tahkenitch Landing Campground offers 28 tent and RV campsites year-round, encircled by lush coastal trees and with easy access to the water. This serene destination combines the natural charm of Oregon's dense forests with recreational opportunities like boating, fishing, and wildlife watching.
Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill, and the campground features a convenient boat ramp and vault toilets. However, there are no electric or sewage hookups, and potable water is unavailable, so campers should plan accordingly. The sites along the lake provide a peaceful lakeside setting, while those on the hill offer scenic views over the water.
Just 9 miles north of Reedsport, Oregon, this campground is part of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where campers can enjoy nearby hiking trails that lead through sprawling sand dunes and conifer forests to the Pacific Ocean. Whether you’re fishing for bass and trout, exploring the dunes, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the lake, Tahkenitch Landing Campground caters to adventure seekers and relaxation enthusiasts alike.
