The Narrows Campground

Tucked above the pristine shoreline of New Fork Lake at 7,800 feet, The Narrows Campground offers an immersive blend of serene natural beauty, abundant outdoor activities, and classic forest camping. Shaded by dense aspen groves and accented with vibrant summer wildflowers, this small campground offers a tranquil escape with scenic lake views and direct access to the Bridger Wilderness, making it a prime spot for hikers, anglers, and wilderness enthusiasts.

With just five campsites, The Narrows Campground is an intimate locale ideal for tent and small RV camping. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, while two vault toilets are available nearby. However, there is no potable water or trash service, so campers should come prepared. The New Fork Trailhead, located at the campground entrance, provides access to spectacular backcountry trails through New Fork Canyon, while the lake below is a haven for fishing, boating, and swimming. Anglers can look forward to kokanee salmon, brook trout, and more, while a sturdy cement boat ramp lies less than a mile away.

Located 26 miles from Pinedale, Wyoming, The Narrows is accessible via gravel roads and serves as a gateway to the Wind River Range’s rugged wilderness. Within a 30-minute drive, campers can explore Pinedale’s services, the scenic Fremont Lake, or the fascinating Museum of the Mountain Man.
