Campground Overview

About Tony Grove Campground

With breathtaking alpine landscapes and a profusion of vivid wildflowers in mid-summer, Tony Grove Campground in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest exceeds expectations for a high-elevation retreat. Located 19 miles east of Logan, Utah, at 8,100 feet, this campground offers access to Tony Grove Lake, renowned for fishing, canoeing, and a scenic self-guided nature trail, as well as remarkable hiking trails like the White Pine Lake Trail and the routes into Mount Naomi Wilderness.

The 32 campsites (plus one double) are well-equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, while the grounds combine vault and flush restrooms. Though rustic—with gravel roads and no hookups—the sites are shaded by towering Engelmann spruce, white pines, and aspens. A few campsites also feature partial lake views, enhancing the serene ambiance. This "pack it in, pack it out" location requires self-sufficiency, so visitors should bring water and adhere to bear safety rules.

Just a short walk from the campground, the crystal-clear Tony Grove Lake provides a tranquil setting for kayaking and wildlife observation, while the nearby trails boast spectacular vistas of wildflowers and mountain scenery. Within a 30-minute drive, travelers can explore Bear Lake, known as the “Caribbean of the Rockies,” with its turquoise waters and ample recreation options. Tony Grove Campground is ideal for weekend escapes, hiking adventures, or nature immersion, offering an authentic high-altitude camping experience.
