About Triangle Lake Campground

Emerging from the heart of Hiawatha National Forest’s Ironjaw Semi-Primitive Area, Triangle Lake Campground defies expectations with its dual rustic sites offering a serene escape surrounded by towering hardwoods and pines. With a pristine 169-acre lake as its focal point, this campground draws anglers, equestrians, and nature enthusiasts eager to immerse themselves in a setting that combines simplicity and natural beauty.

The campground features two distinctly rustic campsites with no drinking water, but each offers unique amenities. Site #1, accessible via a sandy drive, is expansive and accommodates up to three families or trailers, with a primitive toilet and excellent swimming and boat access. By contrast, Site #2 is a more secluded, wooded retreat suited for a single family, offering intimate solitude. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the lake’s bounty of northern pike, smallmouth bass, and crappie, while the adjacent Pine Marten Run Trail provides access for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

Located roughly 30 minutes north of Manistique, this destination is ideal for quiet weekend getaways or nature-focused vacations. Visitors can also enjoy nearby bait shops, general stores, and kayaking rentals, ensuring a balanced mix of essentials and wilderness.
