Many sites feature sun shelters for added comfort, especially during the warm season. The setting offers a mix of open sagebrush areas surrounded by aspens, cottonwoods, and Jeffrey pines, with the cascading Rock Creek running alongside many campsites. Fishing opportunities abound in the creek, famous for its trout, along with nearby destinations like Crowley Lake and Rock Creek Lake. Additionally, the area is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
