Campground Overview
About Turlo Campground
What sets Turlo Campground apart from typical forest campsites? Positioned along the serene South Fork Stillaguamish River, this campground offers a peaceful retreat under the shade of towering fir, cedar, and hemlock trees, perfect for enjoying the surrounding old-growth forest and its riverside ambiance.
Turlo Campground provides 23 standard sites accommodating both tent and RV campers, with essentials like picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets available. While there are no electrical hookups or potable water on-site, the calming proximity to the river makes up for it, and campers are advised to bring their own water. The area is ideal for river fishing and relaxing by the gently flowing currents, offering a quintessential experience of Washington’s wilderness.
Located just off the Mountain Loop Highway, Turlo Campground is about 15 minutes from Granite Falls, Washington, and within a 30-minute drive of exceptional hiking trails like the Mt. Dickerman Trail. This steep 3-mile trail rewards hikers with alpine meadows and panoramic views at its 5,723-foot summit, showcasing the beauty of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
