While the sites on the west side are a short walk to the beach, they offer more open layouts with limited privacy, whereas the eastern sites are nestled among the trees. Campers can enjoy miles of beachcombing, surf fishing, clamming, and even whale watching, with interpretive trails providing insight into the area's coastal ecosystem. Additionally, the park is pet-friendly, making it a welcoming destination for families.
