Each campsite is equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, complemented by clean vault toilets and potable water stations. The campground serves as an excellent base for fishing enthusiasts, as both creeks are stocked with trout, and for hikers exploring the Horton Creek Trail and Derrick Trail, which connect to the Highline National Recreation Trail. Located 17 miles northeast of Payson, it’s just a short drive to town for supplies, dining, or exploring the local charm.
