Where rugged riverbanks meet accessible comfort, Valley of the Rogue State Park Campground offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and practical convenience. Located right off Interstate 5 along three miles of the Rogue River, this campground caters to all types of travelers with its full-hookup RV sites, tent camping areas, and cozy yurts, while its scenic setting provides a tranquil escape from the road. Despite its proximity to the highway, it surprises visitors with quiet pockets and easy access to trails, fishing, and picnic spots.
This year-round campground boasts 167 campsites, including full-hookup and electric/water sites, eight yurts (four pet-friendly), and three group tent areas. Amenities such as hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, and firewood for purchase ensure a comfortable stay. A paved River’s Edge Trail and the adjacent Rogue River Greenway offer opportunities for biking, walking, and wildlife observation along the scenic waterway, while anglers can enjoy salmon and steelhead fishing on the Rogue River.
Situated in the Rogue Valley, the campground is an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions like historic Jacksonville, the Britt Music Festival, and Ashland’s Shakespeare Festival—all within a 30-minute drive. Whether as a stopover on a road trip or a destination for outdoor recreation, Valley of the Rogue combines convenience with the serene charm of Southern Oregon.
