Wawona Horse Camp

As you arrive at Wawona Horse Camp, the serene rustling of leaves from the surrounding forest and the gentle flow of the South Fork of the Merced River capture your senses, evoking a deep sense of connection with nature. This campground is designed specifically for equestrians, offering two large stock sites that accommodate up to six people and six head of stock, complete with high lines, picnic tables, fire rings, and potable water. Located in the southern portion of Yosemite National Park, Wawona Horse Camp provides easy access to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, just a short drive away, and offers multiple trails suitable for horseback riding, including the Chilnualna Falls trail. The campground is situated near the historic village of Wawona, offering a close proximity to the Wawona Stables and the Pioneer Yosemite History Center, both within a convenient 30-minute radius.
