This small, single-loop campground, shaded by towering conifers, offers a tranquil retreat for campers seeking a simple, nature-centered experience.

With just seven sites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, the campground ensures privacy and minimal noise intrusion. Adjacent White Sand Pond, a favorite for trout fishing from May to July, is the centerpiece of a charming day-use area complete with picnic tables and scenic views. Additionally, the nearby Lochsa River is renowned for catch-and-release fishing, featuring steelhead, salmon, and trout during late summer and early fall. Adventurers can explore the Lewis and Clark Trail, perfect for both casual hikes and extended backpacking.

Located 48 miles west of Lolo, Idaho, and just off U.S. Highway 12, the campground offers easy access to the scenic Lochsa/Highway 12 corridor. This area abounds with outdoor activities, from hiking and wildlife viewing to scenic drives along the Lochsa River, making it an ideal base for day trips or extended stays.
