Woodbine Campground

Located along the banks of the Stillwater River, Woodbine Campground in Nye, Montana, defies expectations with its serene forested setting, stunning mountain vistas, and direct access to some of the most picturesque trails in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. With 44 single-family campsites and two group sites, Woodbine Campground caters to tents, RVs, and trailers in a well-maintained, fully paved area. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof storage lockers, complemented by amenities including potable water and vault toilets. The campground’s standout feature is its proximity to the Woodbine Falls Trail—a short, scenic hike leading to a breathtaking waterfall—and the Stillwater Trail, which opens up to an expansive wilderness of alpine lakes and dramatic mountain landscapes.

Situated just seven miles south of Nye and about 30 minutes from Absarokee, the campground offers prime access to outdoor recreation such as fishing for trout in the Stillwater River, wildlife viewing, and hiking. Its elevation of 5,300 feet provides cool summer temperatures and spectacular views of 10,000-foot snow-capped peaks.
