The campground includes 41 well-spaced sites across three loops, ensuring privacy and quiet. Amenities include vault toilets, bear-proof storage lockers, picnic tables, and fire rings, while potable water is not currently available. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy fishing, paddleboarding, and wildlife viewing at Woods Lake, which is just a short walk from the campsites. Trails branching from the campground provide access to the dramatic Lizard Head Wilderness and the Wilson Mesa Trail for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding adventures.

Located 10 miles from Telluride, Woods Lake Campground combines unspoiled wilderness with proximity to a vibrant mountain town.
