The peaceful ambiance is complemented by nearby opportunities for fishing, hiking, and boating. Situated just a short 15-minute drive from the historic mountain town of Lake City, the campground also serves as a base for exploring the Alpine Loop and other local attractions.
Located at an elevation of 9,000 feet, the campground is accessible via County Road 33, just a few miles south of Lake City. Its proximity to Lake San Cristobal ensures easy access to Colorado's second-largest natural lake, where anglers enjoy trout fishing and paddlers can rent kayaks, canoes, or fishing boats.
