About Aspenglen Campground
Imagine waking up to the soothing sound of the Fall River flowing nearby, surrounded by towering ponderosa pines and picturesque meadows—this is the essence of Aspenglen Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park. Conveniently located just inside the park’s Fall River Entrance and a short 15-minute drive from Estes Park, this small campground offers a tranquil escape with direct access to the park’s stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Aspenglen Campground features 53 sites, including tent-only and RV-friendly spots (up to 30 feet), with some walk-in tent sites for enhanced privacy. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, with access to potable water and flush toilets. While there are no showers, electric hookups, or cellular service, the campground compensates with its peaceful atmosphere and ranger-led programs at the riverside amphitheater. Wildlife like elk and mule deer often roam the area, adding a sense of wild serenity to your stay.
From this campground, visitors can easily explore nearby trails like the Deer Mountain Trail or venture to the Fall River Visitor Center. Within a 30-minute drive, Estes Park provides additional amenities, dining, and activities, making Aspenglen perfect for weekend getaways or longer vacations focused on nature and relaxation. It is an ideal destination for those seeking quiet intimacy amidst one of Colorado’s most iconic landscapes.
