Moraine Park Campground

Moraine Park Campground, situated within the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park near the Beaver Meadows Entrance, offers a quintessential blend of stunning mountain vistas, prime wildlife viewing, and immediate access to exceptional hiking opportunities. Unlike many campgrounds, it offers year-round availability with a mix of 244 campsites for tents and RVs (up to 40 feet), including 49 walk-in tent sites, providing various options for camping styles.

The campground is beautifully forested with Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, and lodgepole pine, alongside open meadows adorned with seasonal wildflowers. Campers can experience tranquil mornings with wildlife like elk and mule deer frequently roaming nearby. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, bear-proof food lockers, flush toilets, and drinking water stations, ensuring a comfortable stay while maintaining a rustic, nature-focused atmosphere. Although there are no showers or electrical hookups, the campground features two solar shower stalls and a convenient summer-season dump station.

Located off Bear Lake Road, Moraine Park Campground is ideally positioned for exploring nearby trails to Cub Lake, Fern Lake, and Bear Lake, allowing easy access to some of the park's most iconic hikes. The free park shuttle stops directly at the campground during summer, simplifying access to popular trailheads and reducing parking concerns. Just a short 15-minute drive away, Estes Park offers dining, shopping, and recreational activities, adding a touch of convenience to this immersive outdoor experience.
