About Big Lagoon County Park
Where the tranquil waters of Big Lagoon meet the rugged northern California coastline, this campground offers a rare blend of coastal forest seclusion, direct waterfront access, and proximity to extraordinary natural attractions. Campers here enjoy the dual luxury of a forested setting amidst Sitka spruce trees and easy access to both the lagoon and ocean beach, making it ideal for nature enthusiasts, water recreation, and memorable sunsets.
Big Lagoon County Park features 25 first-come, first-served campsites with essential amenities, including fire rings, picnic tables, flush toilets, and coin-operated showers. Some sites are positioned near the lagoon, offering stunning views and convenient access to its calm waters, perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or swimming. Additional on-site facilities include a boat ramp and day-use area, enhancing its appeal for boating and fishing aficionados. While the campground design offers some privacy, site spacing may feel cozy at peak times.
