Bowman Bay Campground

The Bowman Bay Campground in Deception Pass State Park offers an intimate and unique camping experience, combining dramatic shoreline views, tranquil forest settings, and proximity to some of Washington’s most iconic natural areas. This small campground has only 20 sites, creating a more secluded ambiance compared to other areas in the park. It features easy access to the stunning Bowman Bay shoreline, nearby hiking trails, and historic landmarks, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The campground includes 18 tent sites and two utility hookups for RVs, along with amenities such as restrooms with hot showers, drinking water, picnic tables, and fire pits. While the campsites on the lower loop provide close proximity to the beach, others around the loop offer a more forested and private setting. Visitors can explore miles of hiking trails, including short walks to Rosario Beach or the Civilian Conservation Corps Interpretive Center, which highlights local history. Kayaking, fishing, and wildlife watching are also popular activities, with easy access to the bay’s waters.
