Bridge Bay Campground

Bridge Bay Campground in Yellowstone National Park offers a scenic lakeside setting near Bridge Bay Marina, with expansive views of Yellowstone Lake and the Absaroka Range. Its central location and classic campground layout make it a strong choice for campers seeking easy access to water, wildlife sightings, and southern Yellowstone’s top attractions.

Set at 7,800 feet in open meadows dotted with lodgepole pines, the campground accommodates tents and RVs (without hookups). Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate, and the grounds feature potable water, dishwashing stations, and 16 restrooms with flush toilets. Showers and laundry are not available on-site but can be found four miles away at Fishing Bridge.

Bridge Bay is large and lively, especially during peak season. Sites range from shaded to fully exposed, with close spacing and limited privacy. Elk and bison are frequently spotted nearby, and the marina, hiking trails, and fishing access are all within walking distance—making it a practical base for both quick stopovers and multi-day adventures.

While it lacks modern amenities like on-site showers, the campground is well maintained and known for its reliability, cleanliness, and unbeatable lake views. Compared to Grant Village, Bridge Bay trades modern comforts for a more open, nature-focused atmosphere and immediate access to the shoreline.
