This campground, set at an elevation of 6,200 feet in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, provides 55 campsites, including group accommodations for up to 150 people. The area features a serene lodgepole pine forest offering partial shade, vault toilets, drinking water, and some electrified sites. A concrete boat ramp and dock enhance access to the reservoir, known for its rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and other fish. The location is ideal for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts, with trails and opportunities to spot moose, elk, and bald eagles throughout the surrounding forested caldera landscape. While the grounds maintain a peaceful atmosphere, portions of the sites are more open, catering to a variety of preferences.
