At Cayuse Horse Camp near Ronald, Washington, you’ll find a haven tailored to horseback riders and their companions, complete with horse-specific amenities, tranquil forest surroundings, and direct trail access to some of the most breathtaking wilderness in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
This specialized campground features 11 single sites and 3 double sites, each paired with shared corral facilities that accommodate up to three horses per single site. The corrals are conveniently located in a common area, equipped with water troughs for the horses. Each campsite is thoughtfully equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and ample space for trailers, making it a practical choice for riders. Vault toilets and potable water are also available, ensuring basic comfort amidst the forested setting.
Located roughly 19 miles north of Cle Elum, the campground provides easy access to several popular trails, including a segment of the iconic Pacific Crest Trail. These trails, weaving through mixed conifer forests, alpine lakes, and expansive mountain vistas, offer unmatched opportunities for both day rides and overnight excursions.
