Draped in the lush embrace of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, the Cle Elum River Group Site Campground offers an expansive retreat ideal for gatherings that cherish privacy, majestic landscapes, and seamless access to outdoor adventure. Set at 2,300 feet in elevation amidst a mixed-conifer forest, the campground's defining features include scenic mountain backdrops, proximity to the Cle Elum River, and ample space for large groups of up to 100 people.
The group site is equipped with essential amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings with grills, potable water from a hand pump, and vault toilets, ensuring convenience while retaining a rustic charm. Visitors can revel in a diversity of recreational opportunities including hiking along nearby trails, fishing for rainbow trout and kokanee salmon, swimming in the river, or exploring the serene Speelyi Beach on Cle Elum Lake—just a short drive away. In winter, the area transforms into a hub for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing with nearby access to the French Cabin Creek Sno-Park.
