About Davis Creek Regional Park
The Davis Creek Regional Park Campground, located 20 miles south of Reno in Washoe Valley, defies expectations with its seamless blend of rugged natural appeal and thoughtful amenities. Perched at the edge of the Sierra Nevada, the campground offers spectacular views of Washoe Lake and Slide Mountain, making it an ideal retreat for campers seeking serene landscapes and outdoor activities.
This year-round campground features 62 campsites, including 19 pull-through sites for RVs up to 32 feet long, and additional tent sites equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, and bear lockers. Campers enjoy access to clean flush toilets, hot showers (coin-operated), and two group camping areas for larger gatherings. The park also boasts a range of recreational activities, from hiking and biking on scenic trails to birdwatching and fishing at the Davis Creek Pond, which hosts rainbow trout. Unique features like an amphitheater and equestrian trails further enhance the appeal.
Situated at an elevation of 5,210 feet, Davis Creek Regional Park is in a Jeffrey pine forest and offers convenient access to nearby attractions like Washoe Lake State Park and the challenging Ophir Creek Trail.
