Davy Brown Campground

Perched along the tranquil Davy Brown Creek in Los Padres National Forest, Davy Brown Campground defies expectations with its blend of natural serenity, rugged terrain, and intimate scale of only 13 campsites. Shaded by oak and pine trees, the campground’s peaceful ambiance is complemented by the gentle sounds of the creek that run through all campsites, creating a relaxing escape into nature’s quietude.

The campground is set at an elevation of 2,100 feet and offers basic amenities, including picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and pedestal barbeques. Notably, there is no potable water on-site, so visitors should bring their own supply. While accessible for trailers and RVs up to 25 feet, the narrow and partially unpaved access road may pose challenges for larger vehicles. Outdoor enthusiasts will find it an ideal base for hiking, birdwatching, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing, with direct access to the Davy Brown/Fir Canyon Trail and proximity to the stunning San Rafael Wilderness.
