Campground Overview
About East Lemolo Campground
Along the southeastern shore of Lemolo Lake, East Lemolo Campground offers a tranquil retreat with direct lake access, dramatic mountain vistas, and an intimate, rustic camping experience. With only 15 campsites, including a few that are lakeside, this campground stands out for its seclusion, proximity to the water, and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Each site features picnic tables, fire pits, and space to accommodate tents, RVs, or trailers up to 25 feet, though the lack of potable water and minimal amenities make it best suited for self-sufficient campers. A boat ramp ensures easy access to the lake, renowned for its fishing opportunities with Kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trout. Beyond boating and fishing, visitors can enjoy nearby hiking trails, including the scenic trek to Lemolo Falls, only a short drive away, or partake in stargazing under the forest's dark skies.
Situated in the Umpqua National Forest at an elevation of 4,150 feet, East Lemolo Campground is approximately an hour's drive northeast of Roseburg, Oregon, and a short journey from iconic attractions like Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. Its peaceful setting, framed by lodgepole pines and the clear waters of Lemolo Lake, makes it an ideal destination for fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking a remote getaway.
