Forkland Campground

What sets Forkland Campground apart is its peaceful setting along the northern shores of Demopolis Lake, where 10,000 acres of water and abundant wildlife create a serene retreat for campers. The campground features 42 sites, including RV sites with water and power hookups. Many of these sites provide scenic views of McConnico Creek. Campers have access to facilities such as clean restrooms, showers, a dump station, and a playground. For those seeking outdoor recreation, the campground offers a boat ramp and the Songbird Trail, a nature path leading to the lake and riverbank. Fishing is a popular activity, with access to species like bass and catfish, while birding opportunities abound with sightings of bald eagles, herons, and other riparian birds.

Located just over 10 miles north of Demopolis, Alabama, Forkland Campground is accessible via a short drive off U.S. Highway 43. Its proximity to both Demopolis Lake and the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway makes it a convenient destination for day trips, weekend getaways, or longer stays.
