About Fort Cobb State Park
What if camping meant access to a 4,000-acre lake, an 18-hole golf course, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities—all in one serene destination? Fort Cobb State Park Campground in southwest Oklahoma combines waterfront beauty with high-quality amenities, making it a standout for family vacations, weekend fishing trips, or relaxing retreats.
Spread across a large area surrounding Fort Cobb Lake, the campground offers a wide variety of accommodations, including 34 full-hookup RV sites, 245 semi-modern sites with water and electric, and 99 primitive tent sites. Many sites are lakeside, offering stunning views and easy access to activities like swimming, boating, and fishing, with multiple boat ramps and a marina that includes rentals, fuel, and a convenience store. For additional convenience, the park features clean bathhouses, picnic pavilions, laundry facilities, and even a community building for group gatherings. Wildlife is abundant, and it’s not uncommon to spot ducks or deer roaming through the grounds.
Fort Cobb State Park is located just a few miles from the small town of Fort Cobb and less than a 30-minute drive from other notable attractions, such as the Kiowa Tribal Museum and Horn Canna Farm. On-site, visitors can enjoy a professionally-rated par-70 golf course with fairways offering both scenic lake views and challenging play, as well as about four miles of walking trails. Whether you’re here for water sports, a round of golf, or peaceful evenings by the campfire, Fort Cobb State Park offers a well-rounded outdoor experience.
