Campground Overview
About Fort Ebey State Park
Fort Ebey State Park Campground on Whidbey Island defies typical camping expectations with its striking blend of serene forested settings, dramatic coastal bluffs, and preserved WWII-era history. Visitors can enjoy a unique combination of natural tranquility and historical intrigue, with opportunities to explore miles of hiking and biking trails, access scenic beach areas, and discover historic bunkers hidden amidst the park’s lush landscape.
This campground features 50 campsites, including 11 with water and electric hookups and a variety of tent-friendly options. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and access to clean restrooms and token-operated showers. The absence of a dump station for RVs encourages a quieter ambiance, and many sites offer privacy thanks to the dense surrounding foliage. Beyond the campground, the park provides 25 miles of multi-use trails, including paths with stunning ocean views and access to the secluded beach below. Paragliding, mountain biking, and seasonal shellfish harvesting are popular outdoor activities, adding a dynamic element to stays here.
Just a short drive from Coupeville, Fort Ebey State Park is perfectly located for exploring Whidbey Island's natural and cultural wonders. Nearby attractions include the Kettles Trail, which connects to Coupeville for additional hiking or biking, and panoramic views of the Puget Sound coastline. This campground serves as an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts, history buffs, and families seeking a peaceful yet engaging camping experience in the Pacific Northwest.
