About Fremont Lake Campground

Imagine a campground that combines the drama of wild, rugged landscapes with the serene beauty of a glacial lake—Fremont Lake Campground offers just that. Located at 7,400 feet elevation on the east shore of Wyoming’s second-largest natural lake, it provides striking views of the Wind River Range, easy lake access, and a tranquil forested setting ideal for relaxing or embarking on adventures.

Sites are strategically placed on a hillside shaded by aspen, Douglas fir, and juniper trees, ensuring privacy and a sense of seclusion. The campground features 44 single sites, 4 double sites, and a group site accommodating up to 50 people, all equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water. A boat ramp and dock allow for seamless access to Fremont Lake’s clear waters, perfect for fishing rainbow trout, kayaking, or simply taking a refreshing swim.

Just seven miles from the full-service town of Pinedale, this Bridger-Teton National Forest location also provides proximity to unique attractions such as the Museum of the Mountain Man, which showcases the history of the Rocky Mountain fur trade era. With its combination of natural beauty, inviting amenities, and nearby cultural experiences, Fremont Lake Campground is a prime destination for weekend retreats or longer escapes immersed in Wyoming’s wild charm.
