Situated within Deer Creek State Park, the campground features 21 paved sites accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 55 feet long. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, and most have either a fire ring with grate or a BBQ pedestal. While the sites lack hookups, the campground does offer essential amenities including drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, and access to an RV dump station.
Located just 30 minutes from Provo and an hour from Salt Lake City, Great Horned Owl Campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the Heber Valley. The adjacent Deer Creek Reservoir provides ample opportunities for boating, fishing, and water sports, while the surrounding Wasatch Mountains offer scenic hiking trails and wildlife viewing.
