About Keyhole State Park
Perched near the sprawling expanse of Keyhole Reservoir, Keyhole State Park campground defies expectations with its unique blend of natural beauty, diverse recreational opportunities, and visitor amenities. This expansive site offers ten different campgrounds and over 300 campsites, suitable for tents, RVs, and even unique lodging options including cabins and Wyoming's first-ever state park treehouse, providing something for every style of camper.
The campgrounds vary in offerings, with Tatanka Campground providing electric and water hookups for added comfort, while Wind Creek Campground offers a more primitive, first-come, first-served experience. Vault toilets are available across all locations, and boat ramps at several campgrounds, including Pat's Point, Wind Creek, and Coulter Bay, make this a prime spot for boating enthusiasts. The marina enhances convenience with boat rentals, fuel, and supplies, alongside lakeside campsites featuring water and electric hookups. Keyhole's 14,720-acre reservoir ensures endless opportunities for fishing, swimming, water skiing, and paddling amidst tranquil waters and scenic vistas.
Situated six miles from I-90 in the northeast corner of Wyoming, Keyhole State Park is nestled between the charming towns of Sundance and Moorcroft. Its proximity to the Black Hills and the legendary Devil's Tower, visible from parts of the park, adds a touch of iconic western allure. This park makes an excellent choice for weekend escapes or extended adventures, complete with hiking, bird-watching, and stargazing under vast Wyoming skies.
