About Little Bear Group Campground
Along the dramatic Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway, Little Bear Group Campground offers a serene retreat surrounded by pines, junipers, and the gentle flow of Huntington Creek. This distinctive campground is ideal for larger groups, providing privacy and immersion in the natural beauty of Manti-La Sal National Forest, where summer wildflowers and vibrant fall foliage abound.
Located 13 miles west of Huntington, Utah, at an elevation of 6,500 feet, the campground features two group sites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. Vault toilets are available, but visitors must pack in drinking water and pack out all trash due to limited onsite services. Activities like fishing in the Blue Ribbon-designated Huntington Creek, hiking on the nearby Left Fork and Fish Creek trails, and scenic drives along the Energy Loop offer diverse experiences for outdoor enthusiasts.
Little Bear Group is perfectly positioned for those seeking a blend of recreation and tranquility. Within 30 minutes, visitors can explore the historic Stuart Guard Station Visitor Center or marvel at the panoramic mountain views along Skyline Drive. This campground excels as a base for weekend adventures, family gatherings, or extended stays to connect with Utah’s captivating landscapes.
