Campground Overview
About Lodgepole Campground
Perched at 6,700 feet along the scenic Marble Fork of the Kaweah River, Lodgepole Campground offers a quintessential Sierra Nevada camping experience with unparalleled access to Sequoia National Park's natural wonders. Designed for both tent and RV campers, its riverside sites, shaded by Lodgepole pines and red firs, provide a serene base just two miles from iconic landmarks like the General Sherman Tree and Giant Forest.
The campground features 211 reservable sites with amenities such as flush toilets, drinking water, food storage lockers, fire rings, and picnic tables. While there are no hookups, a nearby dump station, coin-operated showers, and a camp store ensure convenience. Popular trails, such as the picturesque Tokopah Falls Trail, begin right from the campsite, while wildlife viewing and fly-fishing opportunities abound in the surrounding area.
Located in Sequoia National Park, about a 25-minute drive from the gateway town of Three Rivers, the campground is also a short distance from the Giant Forest Museum, Moro Rock, and Crescent Meadow. Lodgepole’s close proximity to these attractions, combined with its idyllic riverside setting and cool summer temperatures, make it an excellent choice for extended stays, weekend getaways, or day-trip exploration.
