Set amidst the serene backdrop of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Miller River Group Campground captivates visitors with its secluded riverfront setting, spacious sites, and proximity to exceptional outdoor adventures. This campground defies expectations with its peaceful atmosphere, ideal for group gatherings or a quiet escape into nature, while still serving as a hub for nearby hiking, fishing, and winter sports opportunities.
The campground features 17 widely spaced sites, accommodating both tent and RV camping, alongside group amenities like picnic tables, a large fire ring, and vault toilets. Its location on the banks of the Miller River ensures a tranquil experience, with campers able to savor the sound of flowing water and the beauty of the surrounding conifer forest. A hand pump provides potable water, and the nearby Money Creek Campground offers additional facilities such as firewood.
Located just three miles south of US Highway 2 and near the town of Skykomish, this campground is a gateway to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, featuring trails like the Dorothy Lake Trail, which leads to breathtaking alpine views. Within a 30-minute drive, visitors can explore the Skykomish River Valley or Stevens Pass, making Miller River Group Campground an excellent base for day outings, weekend getaways, or longer vacations immersed in the pristine wilderness of Washington’s Cascades.
