Vault toilets are available, and potable water can be found nearby at the High Sierra Ranger Station, so campers should come prepared for a rustic getaway. The nearby Edison Lake and Mono Hot Springs enhance the camping experience, providing opportunities for fishing, boating, soaking in natural hot springs, or setting out on hikes that lead into the adjacent John Muir Wilderness.
