About Navajo Lake Campground
Nestled in the rugged highlands of Utah's Dixie National Forest, Navajo Lake Campground stands out for its serene lakeside setting, recreational diversity, and intimate atmosphere. Surrounded by dense aspen and pine forests at a lofty elevation of 9,000 feet, this campground provides campers with direct access to the tranquil waters of Navajo Lake, a hub for fishing, hiking, and boating, while offering incredible views of the Kolob Plateau and nearby Zion National Park.
The campground features 27 well-maintained sites, including 11 tent-only spaces, equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and access to vault toilets and potable water. A rustic boat launch accommodates small crafts, enhancing water-based adventures like canoeing and kayaking. The Virgin River Rim Trail, accessible nearby, invites hikers and bikers to explore its scenic 32-mile route with panoramic mountain and canyon vistas.
Located approximately 30 miles east of Cedar City along Scenic Byway SR-14, Navajo Lake Campground is ideally positioned for nature enthusiasts. Within a short drive, visitors can discover Cascade Falls, Duck Creek Pond, and Cedar Breaks National Monument, each offering unique outdoor pursuits.
