Campground Overview
About North Fork Campground
Hemlock and Douglas fir trees tower over North Fork Campground, casting cool shade along the banks of the Cispus River, where the soothing sounds of flowing water add to the serene ambiance. This campground offers a mix of 33 sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 40 feet, as well as three gated group camping areas—Bear, Beaver, and Elk—ideal for a more private experience in the heart of Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Situated about 10 miles south of Randle, Washington, North Fork Campground is perfectly positioned for adventure. The highlights include easy access to over 50 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and OHV riding. Anglers will appreciate fishing opportunities in the Cispus River, while nearby Mount St. Helens and the Goat Rocks Wilderness offer further exploration within a 30-minute drive. On-site amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, and vault toilets, providing comfort without overshadowing the natural beauty of the setting.
This campground is a fantastic base for day trips to Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, or the Windy Ridge Lookout at Mount St. Helens. Whether you're planning a weekend escape or an extended stay, North Fork Campground offers a combination of recreation and tranquility, making it one of the more versatile outdoor destinations in southwest Washington.
