About Pines Campground
How often do you find a campground that combines serene forested seclusion with effortless access to some of New Mexico's most dramatic hiking trails and views? The Pines Campground in Cloudcroft, part of Lincoln National Forest, offers just that—with shaded campsites set amidst towering Douglas and white firs, providing a cool alpine escape perfect for tent campers and RVs under 35 feet.
This first-come, first-served campground features 24 well-maintained sites, including single, double, and group options. Each site is equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and gravel parking spurs, while central amenities include vault toilets, potable water, gray water sumps, and a garbage depository. Notable for its proximity to the scenic Osha Trail (T10), hikers can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Tularosa Basin and Mexican Canyon Trestle, only steps away from camp.
Located less than a five-minute drive northeast of Cloudcroft, the campground provides easy access to the charming mountain town as well as nearby attractions like the Silver Campground for showers and a dump station. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or an extended forest retreat, this site promises immersion in nature with the convenience of nearby amenities and unforgettable landscapes.
